About Hauge Anderson Performance Horses

Mervin and Roselyn Hauge have lived in the Zimmerman area for over 30 years.

After retiring from IBM after 35 years, Mervin now owns and operates Pro Star Buildings. Pro Star specializes in post frame horse barns and riding arenas. Mervin was MQHA Futurity Chair for over 7 years, helping bring the success to the MQHA Futurity. Mervin is currently on the MSSA Futurity committee. He also enjoys showing the young horses in halter and yearling lounge line classes.

Rosie has been on the MQHA Board of Directors several years, as well as serving on the MAQHA Board. She has been MN Year End Awards Chairwoman for over 8 years. Rosie also gets involved with other various assignments during the show season.
Rosie is the owner and proprietor for Silver Bell Trophies and Awards. She especially likes to supply all the Minnesota QH shows with walk-trot and lead line trophies. Rosie was also Minnesota's 2001 & 2002 Reserve Champion Amateur Select All-Around on Cowgirl Flashback!

Many of these years they have bred and raised Quarter Horses and are currently members of the AQHA Breeders Referral Program. Through the many years of dedication they have enjoyed showing horses that they have bred and raised go on to accomplish many state and AQHA awards. Mervin and Rosie have both and still are very active within the MQHA and Dist. 7 Associations as committee members, chair committee holders, and doing committee work.

Their oldest grandson, Eric, became involved with horses at the age of four. He showed in his first AQHA class at age 11. Eric has had multiple state and national titles including Congress Finalists, NYATT team qualifiers, AQHYA world qualifier, an AQHA champion, and multiple futurity champions. He currently is on the MQHA and MAQHA Board of Directors and has been active in leadership positions since starting in 1997 in the MQHYA. Eric graduated in 2005 from Saint Cloud State University with a BA degree in Insurance.
